Pension Legislation Introduced, ESG Rule from DOL Under Review & IRS Guidance on Safe Harbor Plans

On Thursday, Chairmen Bobby Scott and Richard Neal introduced separate (but similar) legislation in their respective Committees to address multiemployer pension reform and single employer funding relief. The bills include the funding provisions that were previously included in the House-passed HEROES Act.

ERIC Sends Employee Benefit Priorities, Including Paid Leave, to the 117th Congress and the Biden Administration

Earlier this afternoon, ERIC sent two letters to the 117th Congress and the Biden Administration outlining immediate steps the two should take to help address the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as broader goals to secure both retirement and health benefits.
