ERIC is Working to Ensure Telehealth Access at the State Level

ERIC has been busy working to ensure telehealth state laws do not create additional patchworks in legislation or barriers to access of care. This week, ERIC has provided guidance to lawmakers in Idaho and Massachusetts.

Transparency Has the Ability to Transform the Health Care System for the Better

ERIC filed comments today on the HHS’s proposed regulations relating to transparency in health coverage. The regulations would require health plans and health insurance issuers to disclose of out-of-pocket costs and negotiated rates.

ERIC Fights Surprise Medical Billing in Virginia

Today, ERIC sent testimony to Virginia lawmakers in both the state House and Senate. ERIC’s testimony supported H.B. 901 and S.B. 767 and opposed companion bills H.B. 1251 and S.B. 172.

ERIC Takes Seattle Back to Court Over New Employer Health Care Mandate

ERIC has filed an amended complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington challenging Seattle’s Municipal Code 14.28, on grounds that the new law is preempted by ERISA.
