ERIC Looks Forward to Working with Secretary of Labor Eugene Scalia

Washington, DC – The following statement should be attributed to Annette Guarisco Fildes, president and CEO of The ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC):

“The ERISA Industry Committee is pleased Eugene Scalia has been confirmed as the next Secretary of Labor. Mr. Scalia is uniquely qualified to lead the Department of Labor with his deep understanding of labor law and having previously served as Solicitor of Labor.

ERIC and its member companies look forward to working with Secretary Scalia and Deputy Secretary Pizzella to ensure that large multi-state employers are able to continue providing health care and retirement benefits to employees, retirees and their families in every community in the country.”

ERIC previously sent a letter to the Senate’s Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee supporting Mr. Scalia’s nomination and encouraging the committee to move forward with his nomination.
