Andy Banducci to Lead ERIC’s Retirement & Paid Leave Advocacy Efforts

Washington, DC – The ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC) is pleased to announce Andy Banducci as the new Senior Vice President of Retirement and Compensation Policy. He will lead ERIC’s efforts to develop and advocate for retirement, compensation, and paid leave public policies priorities for ERIC member companies at the federal, state, and local levels. Andy replaces Aliya Robinson, who is joining T. Rowe Price.

Andy joins ERIC from the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), where he served as the Chief Policy Officer advising the U.S. Senate-confirmed Director on all legislative and regulatory activities. Before PBGC, he served as the Labor and Pensions Policy Director for Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-TN) of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. Andy also advised Chairman John Kline (R-MN), Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC), and other members of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and the Workforce regarding employee benefits and employment policy. Additionally, he worked for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance during the development of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and defined benefit pension reform proposals.

Andy earned his J.D. at the University of Michigan Law School and his undergraduate degrees from Penn State’s Schreyer Honors College. 

ERIC is also pleased to announce James Gelfand has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Public Affairs. James’s promotion is in recognition of his efforts leading ERIC’s health care advocacy and shaping the vision and direction of the association. James is deeply involved in staff recruitment and development, securing membership commitments and strategic partnerships, and supporting the Board of Directors in identifying and achieving policy objectives. 

Dillon Clair is now Director of State Advocacy and Litigation. In this new position, Dillon will use his legal and advocacy skills to lead ERIC’s state advocacy efforts in coordination with managing our expanding legal activities. 

Christina Ciconte has been promoted to Manager of Public Policy, supporting the policy advocacy team on federal health, retirement, compensation, and paid leave issues. Christina will advance public policies that support ERIC member companies, engage with coalitions, advance ERIC strategic partnerships, and spearhead critical initiatives like the ERIC Mental Health Task Force.
