Michigan PSYPACT Legislation Advancing Through Senate Health Committee

The Michigan Senate Committee on Health Policy and Human Services passed SB 758 out of its subcommittee on Thursday, September 10. The legislation, which would allow the state to join the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT), will now be considered by the full committee.

Back in June, ERIC provided comments for the hearing record to the Michigan Senate Committee on Health Policy and Human Services, where we encouraged passage of the bill. Participation in the compact would allow ERIC member companies to expand their telehealth benefit offerings in Michigan, ensuring that patients will be able to see mental health providers in a timely manner.

We will continue to work with Michigan lawmakers in passing the legislation this year. Please email me if you have any questions or would like to connect me with your staff in Michigan to collaborate on advocacy efforts.
