Today, ERIC sent a letter to Massachusetts lawmakers regarding House Bill 4916. While ERIC supports the advancement of telehealth, we are asking lawmakers to remove the provision that limits prescriptions to only previously diagnosed conditions during an in-person visit. ERIC strongly believes this language unnecessarily restricts patient access to remote care, relies heavily on an in-person visit, and will serve as a barrier to keep patients from using telehealth. ERIC is requesting the removal of the provision so all patients can receive necessary medical care.
