Yesterday, the Ohio Senate Insurance and Financial Institutions Committee heard for a second time HB 388, which relates to Out-of-Network Health Care. ERIC first showed its support of the bill back in November 2019. The bill has since been passed by the full House and is now in its first Committee in the Senate.
ERIC submitted written testimony to the Committee prior to the hearing, urging Chairman Hackett and Committee members to support and pass the legislation, which would help to end the surprise medical billing crisis in Ohio.
Chairman Hackett is hoping to pass the bill out of Committee next week.
