ERIC Win: Colorado and New Jersey Pass Telehealth Compacts

Colorado Audiology Compact Legislation Signed by Governor Polis!

Colorado’s Audiology Speech-language Interstate Compact legislation (SB 21) has been approved by Governor Polis on May 19. This is another major win for ERIC’s member companies who have operations and employees in the state! SB 21 will greatly expand telehealth benefits to our employees by increasing access to audiology and speech-language pathology services and providers to patients in Colorado.

New Jersey Assembly Passes PSYPACT Legislation

New Jersey’s Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) legislation (A4205) passed the full Assembly on May 20. In January, ERIC urged Committee members to pass A4205 out of the Assembly’s Health and Human Services Committee. Committee members took ERIC’s recommendation and finally passed the bill out of Committee in March. New Jersey’s PSYPACT legislation is designed to facilitate the practice of telepsychology and the temporary in-person, face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries. This would be a great win for ERIC member companies and our employee’s as it will expand telehealth benefits for them and their families. We will be working with our allies in the state to ensure the bills passage out of the NJ Senate.
