Over 60% of all surgeries are now done on an outpatient basis or at Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). Yet CMS reports remarkably little about safety and quality for these surgeries. On behalf of employers nationally, Leapfrog is now advocating for more transparency from CMS, and asking hospitals and ASCs to voluntarily provide data for Leapfrog to report by facility. This webinar discusses those policy efforts as well as early results from voluntary reporting by day surgery providers, and what employers can do to accelerate access to lifesaving information like infection and complication rates.
