Regular Rate Regulations and Keeping Benefits out of the CalculationsThursday, May 9, 2019 (3pm - 4pm US/Eastern) |
The registration period for this meeting has ended.
This is a member-only webinar.*
The DOL has issued a proposed rule on the “regular rate of pay” definition under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). While the proposal provides helpful examples that clarify that wellness programs and certain tuition benefits need not be included in the “regular rate of pay”, it does not address the exemption of other benefits such as discretionary profit-sharing plan contributions and certain self-funded health and welfare arrangements.
Please join us on Thursday, May 9 at 3p.m. ET for a discussion on the proposed regulations, the possible impacts to employers and employees, and how plan sponsors can weigh in to urge the DOL to make necessary changes in the final rule. We are fortunate to be joined by Gretchen Harders and Paul DeCamp of Epstein, Becker & Green.
