Join us for ERIC’s June Washington Update call. We will highlight a new study that ERIC unveiled as part of the Pension Coalition showing the significant economic impact and job loss that would accompany proposed additional increases to PBGC premiums.

We will review the latest from Capitol Hill, and whether any benefit-related proposals will be acted on anytime soon, including efforts to extend the 2012 defined benefit (DB) plan rate stabilization rules, and to allow single employer DB plan sponsors to prepay their flat-rate PBGC premiums.

We will provide updates from our recent discussions involving the recently established ERIC task forces addressing the future of COBRA and the implementation of the ACA Cadillac tax in 2018.

In addition, we will review ERIC’s response to a proposal by the Department of Labor to require service providers to provide fee “roadmap” guides (along with their fee disclosures) to plan fiduciaries.

We also will briefly review the discussions from the May 8 ERIC Legal Committee meeting, and the latest developments on cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and other key benefit-related cases.
