This call will focus on the continuing challenges to employer-based wellness programs from federal regulations as well as from the EEOC. During the call Amy Moore, a partner with Covington & Burling, will address her testimony on behalf of ERIC at the EEOC hearing on May 8. She will also discuss the threats to wellness programs from EEOC actions. Christine Richardson, a partner with the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, will discuss the wellness regulations promulgated last November by the Departments of Labor, Treasury, and HHS; if final regulations have been published by the time of the call, she will address those as well. Time will be reserved for employers on the call to discuss common problems exacerbated by guidance from the EEOC and the wellness regulations.
