Note: ERIC’s Fall Meetings are still on, despite the government shutdown.

The government may be closed, but ERIC is still working hard for you. Please be sure to join us for our fall meetings on October 16 and 17 in Washington, DC.

We realize that many of you might be wondering about our meeting agendas in light of the government still being shut down. We are hopeful that our government speakers will be able to attend, but in the event they cannot, we have crafted an alternate agenda.

In either case, we have a terrific program lined up for both days of the meetings.

Regardless of whether the government speakers are with us, don’t miss:

• Our newly added speaker who will explain the dynamic situation in Congress right now;
• Critical analysis of the Affordable Care Act, including the private exchanges, employer challenges, compliance, and the surprising impact on retirement plans;
• How the recent legal and regulatory developments regarding the Defense of Marriage Act will impact your plans;
• The prospects of health care reform sinking or swimming in 2014; and
• Better participant, fiduciary, and compliance outcomes in defined contribution plans.
