ERIC: New Development on HELP MarkUp

ERIC has just received confirmation that Sen. Judd Gregg (R-NH) has filed the text of H.R.2831 as a substitute for the hybrid plan provisions slated to be considered by the Senate HELP Committee tomorrow. [See ERIC e-mail of earlier today for details.]

In your communications with Senators serving on the HELP Committee you should urge them to support the Gregg amendment -- including telling Sen. Gregg of their support and speaking up in favor of the amendment.

H.R.2831 is the bill originally introduced by Rep. John Boehner (R-OH), chairman of the House Education and Workforce Committee that validates the plan design of hybrid plans both prospectively and retroactively and does not directly address conversions or impose mandates on them.
