ERIC: Response Information Regarding Retiree Drug Subsidy Training Conference
Yesterday, CMS released a survey regarding training needs and failed to include a response option. Below please find additional information released from CMS today.

Global E-mail Survey
Purpose: The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Employer Policy and Operations Group will conduct satellite, Internet video, and in-person training on the retiree drug subsidy under the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003. The purpose of this e-mail is to determine whether you and others in your organization would be interested in participating in one of these events.
Agenda Topics include but are not limited to: How to determine whether an organization is a plan sponsor; How to apply the actuarial equivalence test; What is required for creditable coverage disclosure and how this information will be communicated; How to calculate drug costs and adjust for discounts and rebates; Under what circumstances can an account-based health plan qualify for the retiree drug subsidy?
Target Audience includes but is not limited to: Representatives from public employers, private employers, single-employer labor organizations, multi-employer labor organizations, retirees, benefits consulting firms, health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, law firms, and third-party administrators.
Response requested by April 25, 2005.
