Organizations representing public and private plan sponsors endorsed legislation (H.R. 2971) offered by Subcommittee on Social Security Chairman E. Clay Shaw, Jr. (R-FL) that would strengthen the integrity and protection of Social Security Numbers (SSNs). In a written statement for the record, the group applauded the Committee’s efforts over the past several years to craft legislation that ensures “the integrity of the social security number in the years ahead.” |
