ERIC Joins Others in Supporting Section 127 of Internal Revenue Code

In response to Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch’s (R-UT) request for submissions on tax reform, ERIC signed onto a letter –along with trade associations, universities, fortune 500 companies, and more –that was sent to Sen. Hatch and the Committee’s Ranking Member, Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR).

Those who signed onto the letter, otherwise known as the Coalition to Preserve Employer-Provided Education Assistance, supported maintaining and strengthening Section 127 of the Internal Revenue Code. Section 127 allows an employee to exclude up to $5,250 from income per year in assistance for any type of educational course at the undergraduate or graduate level.
