ERIC Looks Forward to Working with Chairman Brady

New Ways and Means Chairman Selected

For Immediate Release

Washington, DC – The following statement should be attributed to Annette Guarisco Fildes, president and CEO, The ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC):

“The ERISA Industry Committee welcomes the opportunity to work with Chairman Brady. ERIC is comprised of large employers who sponsor pension, savings, healthcare, disability, and other employee benefit plans to millions of active workers, retired persons, and their families. We support our members by advocating on federal policies and other matters that affect their ability to deliver benefits –both cost and effectiveness –as well as the role of those benefits in the American economy.

ERIC looks forward to working with the Chairman on repealing the Affordable Care Act’s 40 percent excise tax, the employer mandate and related reporting requirements, as well as supporting employer sponsored retirement benefits and enhancing retirement security. We are hopeful that together, ERIC and Chairman Brady can bolster the efforts of large employers to provide health and retirement benefits to employees and their families.”
