3/13/19 Legislative and Regulatory Advocacy to Help Employees with Student Loan and Other Debt

Wednesday, March 13, 2019 (4pm - 5pm US/Eastern)

This is a member-only webinar.*

Please join us Wednesday, March 13 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (ET), for a webinar on Legislative and Regulatory Advocacy to Help Employees with Student Loan Debt.

Many employees are struggling under the weight of student loan debt. This stress not only impacts productivity, but also can make it difficult for employees to focus on long-term career goals over short-term cash returns. Moreover, this debt can negatively impact an employee’s ability to save for retirement or buy a home. Consequently, employers are looking for ways to help their employees with this debt struggle.

Please join us for an interactive discussion on the recent IRS Private Letter Ruling allowing contributions to 401(k) plans based on student loan repayments and efforts to make this ruling applicable to all employers. We want your input on the breadth of the regulatory relief, even beyond student loan debt, as well as on legislative proposals to expand on the IRS efforts and broaden employer options to support employees with educational assistance and student loan debt.

Our discussion will be led by David Rogers and Joe Adams of Winston & Strawn, LLP. We look forward to your participation.
