Maryland became the ninth state to enact a paid sick leave law. The Maryland Healthy Working Families Act went into effect on February 11, but was accompanied with little to no official guidance on how the law should be implemented.
Fiona Ong and Elizabeth Torphy-Donzella of Shawe Rosenthall LLP will present on Maryland’s new paid sick leave law and provide insight on the law and guidance on how employers should be modifying their existing paid leave policies.
