Join us on Wednesday, April 8 to hear from ERIC's Health and Retirement staff for an update on the most recent legislative, regulatory and legal developments occurring in the nation’s capital.

Among other things, we plan to discuss:

• The increasing likelihood of enactment of legislation to address the so-called “doc fix” with fairly significant reforms to the method by which doctors are paid under Medicare

• Congressional interest to preserve employee wellness programs and recent activity from the EEOC

• The latest on the Affordable Care Act, including an update on the Supreme Court’s oral arguments in King v. Burwell and Republican contingency plans

• Recent Treasury guidance extending the temporary nondiscrimination relief for closed defined benefit plans for one additional year

• A Department of Labor final rule giving plans sponsors additional time to provide the required participant-level fee disclosure

• Recent developments on the Department of Labor’s forthcoming proposal to update the definition of fiduciary

• ERIC’s second amicus brief before the Sixth Circuit concerning vested retiree benefits in collective-bargaining agreements following the Supreme Court’s decision in M&G Polymers v. Tackett

• An update on House and Senate FY 2016 budget proposals and Congressional activity concerning tax reform
