10/14-15/15 - Fall Committee & Membership Meetings

Wednesday, October 14 (12pm) - Thursday, October 15, 2015 (3pm US/Eastern)

Online registration is now closed. To register for ERIC’s Fall 2015 Committee & Membership Meetings, at the Covington & Burling offices located in the heart of Washington, DC, please contact memberservices@eric.org or register on-site.

ERIC meetings have gone green. We will not be handing out paper copies of the agenda or committee slides. Copies of the agenda and slides are available via the "View Meeting Documents" link above.

These meetings will feature a robust agenda, affording you an opportunity to hear directly from key Washington policymakers, network with your peers, and learn about the latest employee-benefit developments.

The Washington Post reporter and columnist Chris Cillizza will be our featured guest, speaking on the upcoming 2016 presidential election.

We are also very excited about our meeting sessions, including:

Global Benefits and Multinational Employers: A discussion about the human resources, legal, and compliance issues facing companies that move U.S.-based employees to other international locations.

The Status of Telehealth Laws & Regulations: Learn about regulatory and legislative issues related to telehealth, as well as the barriers to employees’ widespread access.

Ask the Regulators: Ask questions of those writing the rules on wellness programs, the healthcare excise tax, and restrictions of obtaining determination letters, including the Department of Treasury, The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, and Department of Health and Human Services.

Congressional Panel: This is your chance to speak with Democrats and Republicans from both the House and Senate about the impact of current legislative discussions on the future of employee benefits.

Health Policy Committee members are invited to participate in a discussion on the challenges in the understanding and implementation of the Affordable Care Act, as well as a discussion on the lure of private exchanges.

Retirement Policy Committee members will tackle lump-sum payout programs and engaging employees on benefits and necessary statutory and regulatory changes.

Telehealth Summit: On the afternoon of Thursday, October 15, ERIC will host its inaugural Telehealth Summit, where ERIC members can interact with key telehealth stakeholders and learn more about facilitating telehealth in individual states. The summit will consist of two expert panels, followed by a reception. Registration for the Telehealth Summit can be found on ERIC’s website at http://www.eric.org/forms/meeting/MeetingFormPublic/view?id=49FA900000050.

ERIC meetings are for members only and are not open to the press. If you are interested in inviting a peer, who is not an ERIC member, please contact Kelly Broadway at kbroadway@eric.org or at (202) 627-1918.
