ERIC Urges Congress to Allow Regulators to Complete Work Before Acting on Fee Disclosure Legislation
Washington, D.C. The ERISA Industry Committee, Profit Sharing/401k Council of America, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Manufacturers, and the Society for Human Resource Management submitted a statement for the record to the Senate Special Committee on Aging for a hearing today on "Hidden 401(k) Fees: How Disclosure Can Increase Retirement Security."
The statement discusses, among other things, how the organizations all support enhanced fee disclosure, but urge Congress to allow the Department of Labor (DOL) to complete its work before proceeding with new legislation.
The statement and a group primer on plan fees appear below.
