PPACA Claims and Appeals Regulation Amended

The Departments of Treasury, Labor, and Health and Human Services (HHS) on June 22 published an amendment to the interim final claims and appeals regulation issued last July under Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Comments on the amended regulation are due by July 25, and the amendments generally are effective July 22. Both the amended and original claims and appeal regulations apply only to non-grandfathered plans.
