ERIC Submits Comments to DOL on Proposed 408(b)(2) Regulations

ERIC, along with the National Association of Manufacturers, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Profit Sharing/401k Council of America, the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, and the Society for Human Resource Management, yesterday submitted to the Department of Labor comments on proposed regulations regarding service provider disclosures under ERISA Section 408(b)(2).

The Department of Labor in December 2007 issued proposed regulations regarding service provider disclosures that focus on disclosure of the direct and indirect compensation received by service providers and potential conflicts that may affect their objectivity.
